We can say we are body-positive, but simply claiming it doesn’t always make it so.
Queen-Size Venus Membership is a new community of women guided to support each other in their journeys toward solid self-confidence and self-love through coaching and facilitated conversation.
A unique strength is needed to survive and thrive as a woman of size in our world. Often, for many of us, that’s meant having a tough ninja exterior while simultaneously *not* understanding how to construct the kind of supportive inner-scaffolding we need to feel stable. Claiming our birthright, knowing we are loved, knowing we belong, and knowing our purpose has tremendous value, is something lost to many women who have experienced body oppression trauma.
When suffering from, living through, and fighting the effects of such trauma, how do we heal and strengthen? How do you heal from trauma when you’re still living in the midst of it?
What do you do when you have big dreams and deep passion to live a fuller and expanded life, yet can’t find your way there? It can be difficult for women of size, and each woman is unique in where she falls within the bell curve between self-hate and self-love.
Queen-Size Venus is like a gym membership for your internal landscape. A way to develop and build the most important kind of strength – from inside out. An intrinsic strength that is both tender and resilient as f*ck. One that lets you stand in your full sovereignty while also engaging in beautiful, healthy interdependence with others.
Belonging and connection is one of the most valuable aspects of this program.
This is where my work and philosophy comes into focus. I help women heal from body oppression trauma and create road maps to self-acceptance and solid intrinsic confidence, regardless of the world in which you live.
There are currently two ways we can work together. One is through one-on-one coaching and conversation.
The other is through Queen-Size Venus Membership, a new, on-going monthly group. Queen-Size Venus is a place women feel safe to talk about their truths. Where women of size come together to recognize issues of blame, shame, oppression and guilt – and learn how not to get stuck there. A place where you learn how to love your shadow and bring her close. Where, through coaching, conversation, support and group content, you can see and walk on a path toward stable self-love, your passion, your desires, your purpose and accomplishing your goals. Where you’re able to take that scaffolding and let it support you to be all you dream to be in the world.
Our group interaction varies week-to-week and my program is always led by members’ current needs. An example of our conversation may include subjects such as:
- Romantic partnerships – finding the right partners or improving a current relationship
- Sex
- Family relationships
- Moving through past trauma in a loving way
- Re-wiring thinking patterns that no longer serve
- Navigating the kind of gaslighting women of size often receive
- Money – becoming a business boss and gaining confidence to ask for and earn the kind of money you desire
- Handling tricky environments, as a body-positive person, when standardized human behavior is nowhere near aligned with your own level of consciousness
- Assertiveness training and role-playing; how to support and stand for yourself when needed
- Understanding boundaries in a new way
- Handling others’ expectations of how you “should” behave or who you “should” be
Can you imagine? What waits for you once you are truly seen, held and supported for your body, mind, and soul – right now – exactly as you are?
I want you to know, you are not too much.
You are beautiful, perfect and special. Your value is not up for debate.
I’m Stacy Christopher. I have been active in the body liberation movement, both personally and professionally since the late 1980s.
As a young woman, I earned a degree in Fashion design and was overwhelmed with the lack of body diversity inclusion at that time. We have come far since then. Continuing my education as a journalism student at San Francisco State University, I rooted much of my learning in the subjects of politics, feminism, fashion, sexuality, the sex industry, classism, racism, emotional intelligence and writing about rock n roll.
And what I learned deeply from all of it … was how very difficult it is to be seen and valued in our culture when you’re a fat woman.
Now, as a life coach, the one thing I know best is that we are much more suited for traversing challenges when we do it together.
In the Queen-Size Venus Membership, boundaries are beautifully held so everyone is seen, heard and supported. No woman is too much. Your “muchness” is valued like a precious stone.
Simultaneously, the loving way the group is crafted and held means there is no energetic draining, siphoning or runaway trains that you may have encountered in other support groups. I have designed a protocol steeped in a tried-and-proven structure that loves on everyone while simultaneously allowing for the most profound boundaries, transformations and levels of clarity.
A true path for the coming home to you.
“The support I received while working with Stacy has been so valuable. I’m able to feel more grounded in my worth and self-confidence at work. I had more confidence negotiating my raise. And I’m able to use the kind assertive skills I learned when someone unintentionally crosses a line with me.” ~Kesha
“I’ve worked as a plus-size model and have been in pagents too, but I still always carried this nagging feeling like I wasn’t good enough, or as good as everyone else. My work with Stacy brought to the surface a lot of ways I still carried around old messaging about my body from certain family members, and just from the world in general. That’s when my transformation really started to take form.” ~Amber
“I’ve been a part of the body positive movement for a long time. Having a weekly appointment to let off off steam in a loving environment was vital. Feeling validated and encouraged allowed me to have more fuel, more inspiration and to feel much more authentic in my expression and my offerings. As an artist, author and a healer, that’s huge to me.” ~Genai
